Furthermore, he will work to ensure that the requirements are met and that the funds have been allocated effectively.

Our region is facing a housing crisis due to decades of bad decisions that were aimed at preventing population growth rather than adapting to population growth with sustainable solutions. Unlike his opponent, Trenton believes that it is the responsibility of local government to address the housing crisis. Partnering with organizations like Housing North, increasing capacity of local governments and planning commissions, utilizing existing resources like our Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and Land Bank, and providing tools and resources to local and nonprofit developers will bring more affordable housing options to seniors and the hard-working folks in Grand Traverse County.
